An Analysis of Saint Anne's Character and her Measures to Overcome the Wrong Social Manners

Abstract
Saint Anne and Saint Elizabeth were two sisters; Anne [in Arabic: Hanna] was the wife of Imran [father of Maryam] (A.S.) and Elizabeth [in Arabic: Ashya' or Hannanah] was the wife of Prophet Zakaria (A.S.). Anne is a good model for overcoming wrong social manners, including gender discrimination. Following the vow she made to devote her child, even though she thought it was a boy, but she still fulfilled her vow despite being surprised. The purpose of this study is to analyze the personality of Saint Anne and her measures to overcome the wrong customs of the ignorant society.
This research with the descriptive-analytical method of documentary approach, examines the story of Maryam's birth and how she entered the temple. In order to overcome the wrong manners of the society, one should continue to communicate with God with certain faith in answering the prayer by God, maintaining the commitment along with honesty and courage. Also, devotion, loyalty and commitment in deeds and foresight are necessary for success when fighting wrong social customs in ignorant societies
