Abstract
One of the challenging issues in examining social issues in society is the type of conversation people have in different situations. This research aims to examine the frequent word "Al-Qawl" (Speech) in the Holy Qur'an as a solution to achieve the right methods of communication and conversation. The statistical population of the research - which was conducted with a descriptive-analytical method and a semantic approach - is the Holy Qur'an. Using the analysis of syntagmatic and paradigmatic relationships, we sought to find appropriate methods of linguistic communication with different people in society to have a greater impact. The research findings show that Al-Qawl in the Qur'an has a wide semantic range that includes not only speech but also any type of expression of intention, including action, notion, indication and belief. Also, the Qur'an, by presenting different types of Al-Qawl such as Ma'rouf (just word), Layyin (gentle word), Baligh (eloquent word), Karim (noble word), Sadid (true word) and Maysour (simple word) provides a comprehensive framework for human communication that is adjusted based on different social situations. The results of this study show that knowledge of addressee in the verses of the Qur'an plays a vital role in effective communication. The Qur'an specifically recommends a type of speech for each communicative situation, for example, when dealing with rebellious people, the use of soft and gentle speech is more effective. In situations such as social and family relationships, Ma'rouf (respectful) speech is recommended, and in situations where respect for others is needed, the Qur'an emphasizes the use of the noble speech. These diverse speech patterns mentioned in the Qur'an show that this divine book pays special attention to the personality and social characteristics of its addressees, and accordingly, provides specific instructions for speech and behavior for each situation. Ultimately, the use of these different speech methods can help solve communication challenges in society, especially in negotiations.
