Abstract
Given the definition of the family as a small social institution, it requires organization and planning for its vitality and efficiency. Procreation, the continuation of generations, and the upbringing and development of children are the primary goals of the family in Islam, and in this regard, women play a prominent role. This research, using a documentary method and a descriptive, analytical and critical approach, seeks to examine and analyze the " Qur'anic Model of Authority Structure in the Family" and the position of both woman and man in it. Today, the traditional role of women in the family, as hardworking mothers and successful educators in childbearing and raising children, as well as the role of hardworking men in society as the sole custodians of the family's livelihood, has undergone changes. Therefore, the question arises: how are these changes analyzed and interpreted in the Qur'anic model and structure of the family in Islam, and is there a possibility for women's social activities? The findings of the research indicate that in the Qur'anic model of family structure, authority means the right to manage, protect, and be the head of the family, which is the responsibility of men. Authority of men in the family never means being all-guardian and having absolute power. Moreover, authority is only relevant in relation to marriage, and the male gender does not have authority over the female gender, and its scope is not society but limited to family affairs. Therefore, the main mission and duty of men is work and employment and providing material, and spiritual needs of the family. The mission and duty of women is to manage family affairs. As a key pillar of the family, women can enter the field of social activities by considering the family priorities.
