Moderation (I’tidal) means a behavior and a state that is far from any extremes. Moderation plays a decisive role in the educational behavior and spiritual health of parents and children. The moderate and balanced behavior of parents with children is the factor that leads the family to perfection, prosperity and happiness.
This descriptive-analytical research, using library sources, seeks to answer the question, what is the effect of parental moderation on children's spiritual health from the perspective of the Holy Quran and hadiths?.
The results of this research indicate that moderation is effective in this regard from different dimensions such as the emotional, worshipping, economic, and so on. Observance of moderation in emotions and feelings prevents the creation of complexes and jealousy among children and the harmful effects of unbalanced affections and promotes the mental health of children. Worship in all its dimensions is essential for humans, and observing moderation in worship prevents hatred and discouragement from worship itself and encourages children to worship God Almighty, and this plays a significant role in children's spiritual health. Economic moderation, avoiding excesses in consumption, spending, donating, avoiding stinginess, narrow-mindedness, extravagance, indulgence, and responding appropriately and properly to the natural needs of children will lead to the prosperity and stability of family finances, self-confidence, independence, and mental peace of children.
