Nonverbal communication is the transfer of information, thoughts, and human behaviors from one person to another through means other than language and speech. In explaining nonverbal communication, the Qur’an highlights the significance of outward characteristics in individual and social relations—such as facial expressions, gaze, smiling, cheerfulness, crying, laughter, clothing, and the like—which constitute a considerable portion of social interactions. This study, using a descriptive-analytical method, examines nonverbal behavioral skills and their impact on social communication from the perspective of the Qur’an. The findings show that facial expressions reflect a person’s inner states and are among the most important elements of interpersonal interaction for maintaining healthy social relations. Individuals can respond appropriately to different situations through facial expressions, and a joyful or sorrowful face can bring happiness or sadness to those around them. One of the most important functions of eye-contact skills, which are essential for the soundness of social communication, is controlling one’s gaze, particularly in relation to the opposite sex, as well as refraining from looking at others with contempt. The communicative skill of smiling creates joy and delight, fosters affection and closeness among hearts, and contributes to social well-being. The skill of dressing and adorning the body with appropriate clothing ensures health in social communication and provides a basis for cohesion and connection among individuals
