This study examines Qur’anic strategies for strengthening social resilience in the face of the enemy’s cognitive warfare. Its central research question concerns which patterns derived from the text of the Holy Qur’an can provide a foundation for reinforcing social stability and cohesion under the complex conditions of the contemporary world, in which adversaries employ media tools and psychological operations to influence the perceptions, beliefs, and behavior of Islamic societies. The significance of the study lies in the fact that cognitive warfare, unlike conventional warfare, targets the collective mind and identity. Countering such warfare therefore requires profound and sustainable strategies grounded in authentic religious sources. Employing a descriptive-analytical method, the study examines Qur’anic verses related to such concepts as resistance, patience, insight, awareness, unity, and social cohesion. It first clarifies the key concepts associated with social resilience and cognitive warfare and then classifies and analyzes selected verses in accordance with these conceptual categories. To enhance the accuracy and validity of the analysis, the study draws on authoritative Shi‘i and Sunni exegetical sources, including al-Mīzān, Tasnīm, Fī Ẓilāl al-Qurʾan, and Majmaʿ al-Bayān, as well as other relevant exegetical works and scholarly studies. This approach ensures that the interpretation of the selected verses is based on a systematic and in-depth understanding of the Qur’anic text. The findings indicate that the Holy Qur’an presents an integrated and multilayered set of strategies for confronting cognitive threats. These strategies not only strengthen individuals against psychological and propagandistic pressures but also contribute to the formation of a resilient, informed, and cohesive society. The findings classify these strategies into four principal levels: psychological-affective, cognitive, behavioral, and institutional-social. At the psychological-affective level, the Qur’an reinforces individuals’ inner stability by emphasizing patience, trust in God, hope in divine assistance, and tranquility of the heart, thereby increasing their resistance to anxiety and the enemy’s negative insinuations. At the cognitive level, the Qur’an emphasizes insight, reflection, contemplation of the divine signs, and the rejection of blind imitation. These principles enhance individuals’ capacity for discernment and reduce their vulnerability to distortion, misinformation, and doubt. At the behavioral level, the Qur’an presents practical models of resistance, jihad, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong, thereby encouraging active and responsible participation in society. At the institutional-social level, it emphasizes unity, solidarity, adherence to religious authority, and the avoidance of division. These elements play a fundamental role in preserving social cohesion and neutralizing the enemy’s divisive strategies. Overall, the proposed model demonstrates that social resilience in Qur’anic thought is not merely an individual or temporary response, but a dynamic, integrated, and multilevel system encompassing the various dimensions of human existence and social organization. By linking faith, awareness, action, and social institutions, this system provides a comprehensive foundation for preserving the identity, cohesion, and stability of the Islamic ummah in the face of cognitive warfare. It may therefore serve as a strategic framework for cultural and social policymaking in Islamic societies.
